My name is Kirsten. I am Liǧʷiłdax̌ʷ. My family comes from Cape Mudge and I am currently living in Campbell River.
Throughout these blog posts you will meet language learners and teachers. Our goal is to support families in their language learning journeys. It is our hope that our language can become accessible to our relatives where ever they currently live.
In this first video I go over the sounds of the vowels in Lik̓ʷala and you are introduced to the writing system that we are using. In this writing system each letter/symbol makes one sound.
